Weekend Mood

It’s Father’s Day weekend here in Australia and whilst we haven’t planned anything special, it’s nice to just spend some time with the family. I have had a busy couple of weeks at work, so I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend! I have new books to read and plenty of green tea on hand.

I rearranged our bedroom a bit today to make room for the beautiful Anno bedspread and rug (which I will share photos of soon!) I absolutely love this Finnish brand; their mission of creating products that feel good to live with, and their use of natural materials is right up my alley.

This beautiful bedspread is lightweight and soft and has a lovely texture that adds a layered feel without looking cluttered. Needless to say the Sand colour fits perfectly in our grey and beige colour scheme.

Wishing you a lovely weekend!

PS. This product was sent to me as a gift, but as always, all opinions are my own.

A Fun Poster Idea

This weekend has been all about enjoying some simple things after we completed the floor renovations earlier this week. I did two long walks yesterday and ended up having a good old nanna nap afterwards (talking about quick recovery…). Today we did a spout of shopping and just enjoyed the sunny day. I shuffled things around a bit at home to make space for this beautiful travel map from Bold Tuesday. This talented Estonian duo has a great sense of humour and a real eye for minimalist posters. I must admit I’m not a huge fan of travelling and these days it seems even harder to muster up the energy to plan a trip, but I do love visiting new countries and learning about different cultures. In addition, I’ve always been a map geek (geography masters!), so their designs were a perfect fit. There’s a big range of fun designs available, suitable for both kids’ room decor or in your home office as well. I highly recommend the magnetic poster rails as well, I love this pared back look with the minimalist poster.

I have a busy couple of weeks ahead, even including a bit of travelling (domestic). More on that soon, so stay tuned!

This poster was kindly gifted me by Bold Tuesday. All opinions are my own, as usual!
