New from Design Of

One of my favourite Scandinavian design houses, Design Of, has just released their new accessories collection. Designed with longevity in mind, the new collection is as aesthetically stunning as it is functional.

Consisting of bowls, trays and a jewellery/stationery holders, the new pieces complement the existing collection perfectly.

If you are hyper organised and already planning for Christmas gifts, I can imagine these being perfect for just about anyone.

The Natural Bedding Company

Let’s talk about sleep – or rather the lack of it…It’s no secret having kids tends to change your sleeping patterns – usually for worse. In my case, having a solid nights sleep is a very rare occasion.

I first started looking into the importance of sleep during my Health Coach days and found out there are quite a few things you can do to try and get a better nights sleep.

Keeping your bedroom calm in terms of colours and decorations might help, and I would highly recommend leaving the phone in another room altogether!

Opt for natural bedding materials as much as possible. Organic cotton and pure linen are great options.

Finally – and most importantly – invest in a good mattress. This is actually something I overlooked for a number of years. Tossing our old mattress felt like such a waste, even though I knew it probably wasn’t helping my back problems and restless sleep. It wasn’t until I came across The Natural Bedding Company that I was convinced that there were much better options available!

Made locally here in Sydney, these mattresses are an incredible showcase of passion and dedication for craftsmanship and high quality materials.

Made up of carbon neutralised organic latex and soft Australian Downs wool, this mattress is made without any harmful chemicals.

Needless to say I slept like a baby in my new bed, only to be awaken by laughing kookaburras at sunrise.

PS. We ended up giving our mattress away for free and hopefully extending its lifetime by a few more years. My other option would have been to organise a collection with Softlanding, where they would have been able to recycle most of the mattress.

The mattress was kindly gifted to me by The Natural Bedding Company, but all opinions are my own.
